Often, what delights me most about a photo is a fine little detail that is often lost when looking at the full scope of the photo.

But when zooming in, this little black figure turns into a paddle boarder waiting for the sun to rise.

Certainly, a telephoto lens could have captured this silhouette in considerable more detail. But with it, so goes the delight and wonderment of looking for something more. In essence, I like when a photo has a mini game of Where’s Waldo.

It gives me joy, amusement, and delight. And it is delight that I am so often seeking in life.
